Have anyone imagined having a laptop with two screens which open up and sit side by side.......

Now its possible with gScreen SpaceBook although the company has not committed to precise specs or specified the resolution of the displays, the company says the system will offer either Nvidia Geforce 9800M GT or Quadro FX 1700M graphics with 512MB of dedicated video memory, a 2.26Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB of RAM and a 320GB HDD. It will also feature additional features like HDMI output, an ExpressCard slot, etc.....

The SpaceBook should be available by 209 on Amazon and also it plans to offer the SpaceBook 2009 internationally.

BY the way the gScreen SpaceBook will not be the first dual screens notebook as Lenovo's W700ds sports a slide out secondary display.

Arkeg Beer-Dispensing Arcade Machine

Some company named Arkeg has made an arcade machine with an integrated beer depenser. The main task of the cabinet is mainly to dispensed beer....................

Inside the cabinet there is a complete refrigeration system that keeps the beer cold. It can accepts five gallons(picture shown below).

A digital thermostat even lets you set the preferred temp for the brew. The arcade machine has different games with one or two player select buttons, a joystick and six button for each player and even a center track ball, all set into a brushed aluminium top. On the front there are another set of knobs and buttons controls volume, treble, bass, game exit, pause and to finish the power. Since it's powered, at the core, by a PC, a panle allow to have full access to a keyboard.

The Arkeg crew claims that there are a total of 16,000 titles of retro games for the device. Supporting everything from Atari, Sega and Game Gear titles.

The entry price is about $4000

The iLoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While surfing the web, I found a very funny concept made by microsoft the iLoo.

The iLoo is apparently an internet enabled outhouse, with a plasma screen and a keyboard which was designed for Great Britain summer 2003 music festival. The user could use the internet to check mails and surf the web.

Just find if the iLoo was created, hundred drunkers using the keyboard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bionic Commando 2008 reviewed by me

Bionic Commando was originally a title made for nitendo NES but now it has evolved in a 3D game.

Plot:

In the game you play Spencer, a bionic commando who has been imprisoned for crimes he did not commit. A group of terrorist attacked Ascession City and Spencer is called for help for a behind the scene operation. As Spencer progress through Ascession City, he has to fight Bio Reigns, and he found that there is a mass weapon of destruction that is been sought by the terrorists and he must find the weapon before the Bio Reigns.......................

Gameplay:

Bionic Commando is a third person action game. However some levels feel open and exploratory but the game uses several mechanics which act like barriers. These barriers are used to prevent players from straying away from objectives giving some level a linera feel. Nathan Spencer the main character is able to target enemies while hanging, climbing a building or even in mid swing while using his bionic arm. His bionic arm can also be used to attack enemies at close range. The arm can also be used to grad and launch objects at the enemies.

As we all know the Mauritian population is been affected by the H1N1 virus and where is any remedy or vacine against it.

Some measures against contracting the virus are:

Avoid close contact with persons having running nose, persistent cough, fever, etc...
Watch your hand frequently with soap after having touch anysurfaces which could have been infected.
Avoid crowds as it is the most easier way you could contract the virus.
Avoid touching you eyes, nose or mouth to avoid the spreading of the germ.

If ever you noticed that you have the below symptoms which are like symptoms of normal flu, you should immediately attend hospital.

Fever followed by headache, fatigue
Persisten cough
Running or stuffy nose

Why technology is getting smaller and smaller?

Nowadays tech company are designing and creating more and more smaller thumb drives, laptops, mobile phones and pcs........

For example, lets take handheld mini HD camcorders the Zi6 from Kodak, the VADO HD from Creative and the Flip HD. All of them can record video at full 720p HD quality.

But when recording videos not only the resolution matters but also the picture quality. These camera can't be hold steady because of there small weight and size. People will get sick looking at a crappy footage even in HD.

Secondly let talk about new mobile phones, highly recognised mobile phone such as the Blackberry Curve 8900. The placement of the buttons of the keypad are close and differentiating between button are sometimes difficult.

So maybe in the future manufacturers will make functionality a higher priority than trying to save a few centimetres here and there.

Exploding iPods and iPhones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recently it’s been a French teenager who was injured when his girlfriend’s iPhone exploded. But lately there’s also been a report from UK that an iPod Touch exploded, while KIRO TV in Seattle found 15 people complaining of burns and fire-related iPod incidents.

According to Marie-Dominique Kolega, who spoke to AFP, her French son was hit by the iPhone, which made a hissing noise prior to exploding.

"My son was frightened but he did not lose an eye," she said, noting she’d contacted Apple.

According to The Times, Ken Stanborough in England said his daughter’s iPod Touch also made a hissing sound before shooting several feet into the air. He contacted Apple about the incident, and claims the company said they’d give him a refund – but only if he signed an agreement not to discuss what happened.

15 fire and burn were related to iPod incidents and Apple has tried to suppress the report.
